Welcome to the moon. Colonised by humanity and under the stewardship of the cutting edge RIVER AI... until some idiot modified the core without getting a proper code review. Now the AI has gone predictably rogue and enlisted all the drones across the facility. One Agent will stand against them and put the Dead Forest protocol into effect. Who? If you guessed 'you' then you're one step ahead.

Use just the A and D keys to dash from cover to cover, return fire with either hot lead or a laser and put up shields. Why? Because 'Two Button Controls' was the theme of the Solo Dev Jam #4! I take pride in having done everything myself with the amazing Godot engine in 72 hours except for a picture of the lunar surface (can't do that with a phone camera) and music and soud effects (I have no talent here and that was unlikely to change in three days)

Really cool concept! The option to choose a path and have agency in what situation you'll be fighting through was a nice approach. I enjoyed taking a moment to see what was ahead and getting my input combos ready, then run out guns blazing like an action movie. The boss room with the multiple shields was a delightful twist on the established mechanics. After going through the game the first time while trying to be slow and strategic I wanted to try a speed run. However, In playing through it again I discovered that rapidly alternating the buttons can blast through all the enemies almost instantly with no consequence, other than a missed shot. Without some pushback it didn't feel like there was any reason not to spam the controls. I see some great speed run potential for this game and it seems like there's a lot cool stuff you can do with the mechanics you have here, Great work!

Thank you for playing and for writing such detailed and considered feedback, it means a lot.

The button mashing issue is the comment I get the most and it's definitely true, I 100% agree. If I were to make it again I would lock the weapons for a fraction of a second if you use the wrong one. Even just resetting a combo counter would make it a matter of pride to use the right one!

Thank you again for your comments, they are appreciated.
